I finally finished residency!
My younger sister and I visited my friend Sheena on the beautiful island of Maui.
This is one of the many beautiful beaches we visited.
We had time to rest and relax. We both learned how to snorkel.
We had an accidental face-to-face encounter with a sea turtle.
We hiked into the old volcanic crater.
Yes, we needed sweatshirts.
I'm thankful for the training that I've had, but I'm looking forward to the next step. I'm still planning on leaving in January for French language study. After 3-6 months, depending on my language proficiency, I will travel to the Democratic Republic of Congo and start working with Samaritan's Purse for 2 years as an Ob/Gyn.
Please, continue to pray for me as I prepare to go. I am still trying to find temporary employment until I leave, which has proven more difficult than I thought. And, I'm trying to catch up with friends and family before I leave.
